For all the peoples walk,
each in the name of its god,
but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God
forever and ever.
- Micah 4:5
And whom God shall please to guide,
that man's breast will be open to Islam;
but whom He shall please to mislead,
strait and narrow will He make his breast,
as though he were mounting up into the very heavens!
Thus doth God inflict dire punishment on those who believe not.
- Qur'an Surah 6 (The Cattle), line 125
The blind man is carrying such a heavy load,
and his journey through the mountains is so long.
My eyes can see, but I cannot find the Way.
How can I climb up and cross over the mountain?
What good does it do to serve, and be good, and be clever?
Oh Nanak, contemplate the Naam, the Name of the Lord,
and you shall be released from bondage.
- Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ang 10128-9
The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.
- Confuscius
For aspirants who want to climb the mountain of spiritual awareness, the path is selfless work;
for those who have ascended to yoga the path is stillness and peace.
When you have freed yourself from attachment to the results of work,
and from desires for the enjoyment of sense objects,
you will ascend to the unitive state.
- Bhagavad-Gita
A safe and glorious space.
Walk together. Work together. If you build it, I am come.
